The QR Code won't appear or won't scan

When the QR Code does not appear

If the connection screen is blank or the code does not load, try in this order:

1. Click Generate new QR Code — the code expires for security and needs to be refreshed.
2. Refresh the page (F5) to reload the instance.
3. Check that the instance is in qr_ready status. If it is already connected, there is no QR to display.
4. Try another browser or an incognito tab to rule out extensions and cache.

💡 Tip: the QR Code is temporary. If you take too long to scan, it expires — just generate a new one.

When the phone won't scan

If the code appears but the phone cannot read it:

• Increase your computer screen brightness and clean the phone camera.
• Move the phone closer or farther until the code is sharp in the camera.
• Always use the correct path on the phone: WhatsApp > Settings > Linked devices > Link a device. Scanning with the regular camera does not work.
• Confirm the phone's WhatsApp is up to date.

Using the public connection link

If scanning from the panel does not work, generate the instance's public connection link and open it directly on the phone or another device. The public page shows the same QR Code without requiring a login.

Other common causes

• Linked-devices limit: WhatsApp allows only a few devices per number. Remove an old device under "Linked devices" and try again.
• Unstable internet: both phone and computer must be online during scanning.
• Number already connected in another tool: disconnect it there before connecting in Zapini.

💡 Tip: if nothing works, wait a few seconds, generate a new QR and scan it quickly. Old codes always fail.
